Out-of-Warranty Repairs...
We can repair, pretty much, any type of Apple Computer that's out there, no matter how old (or odd) it may be. But with the way technology advances so rapidly, older computers are sometimes not worth the cost of fixing. We understand you're probably attached to your computer, but it might be time (for all our sakes) to move on.

If your computer was built before 2000, that's a good sign it's time to upgrade. For those of you with computers built after the year 2000, repair may be the way to go. However, if the cost begins to look like it might be more than what the computer is actually worth, we'll let you know, and help you decide how to move forward.

Frequently, people will try to upgrade a computer by adding a larger hard drive and a newer processor (We recognize this as part of the grieving process). Sadly, this will only postpone the inevitable, and can cause all sorts of problems in the meantime.

Note: We do not repair out-of-warranty or under warranty iPods. However, we can change the battery in out-of-warranty iPods.

Apple Warranty & AppleCare...
All new Apple hardware products (including clearance and refurbished products) carry a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. You can view a complete copy of the Apple Limited Warranty by clicking the appropriate link below.

MacMedia, Inc. does not perform warranty repairs on iPods.

AppleCare Repairs

The AppleCare Protection Plan extends the coverage on your Mac to three years, accounting for any repairs done on your computer. This covers the computer itself, as well as an AirPort Card, and the AirPort Base Station that's been purchased for your Mac. Power Mac and PowerBook customers may also be covered for one Apple display, provided that the Mac and display were purchased together. All repairs are performed by Apple-certified technicians using genuine Apple parts.

AppleCare is also available for the Apple iPod and iPod mini. Purchasing iPod AppleCare extends the warranty from one year to two years full coverage. It also extends phone support from one free phone call to two years of unlimited phone support. iPod repairs are not performed at Tekserve, but sent off to an Apple repair depot center, however, we can replace batteries on 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation iPods and iPod Minis.

Warranty or AppleCare-covered repairs are treated the same way-an Apple Certified Technician will assess the machine and order any appropriate replacement parts. Most repairs take seven days to complete but can sometimes be finished sooner if we have the part in stock.

We know what an inconvenience it can be to be without your computer, and we appreciate your patience while we're performing the work. As a benefit to our customers, we offer rentals at a discounted rate for the duration of the repair and can customize the computer to fit your needs.

Getting The Ball Rolling

Getting started, the first thing we'll need is proof of your warranty (a copy of the receipt from when you purchased the equipment). If your machine is less than a year old, it's covered under Apple's Limited Warranty. If you've purchased AppleCare for your computer, you'll be asked for your AppleCare Agreement number.

We appreciate your business, and we look forward to getting your computer back on its feet as soon as possible.

Now you can buy AppleCare over the phone. Simply call our Sales Departments at either location to purchase AppleCare for your Apple computer today.
